Memorial weekend

Look at those lashes.
Wyatt's favorite thing to do this week.. go through the end table 'tunnel.'

Our Memorial Day weekend went like this... went to the farmer's market Saturday, had fun picking out veggies, goat cheese, local steaks- wandered around the down town area which Will says reminds him of San Luis Obispo but with more families. How perfect is that? Grabbed lunch at American Dream pizza and on our way home we dropped by Audra's house and borrowed Mikey's play water table thingy for Wyatt. Saturday night, Will was up working through much of the night. On Sunday Wyatt woke up with a snotty nose-Will caught up on sleep... Sunday night Will had to work in the middle of the night again. By Monday, we were all sleepy from a jacked up schedule, but were able to manage a yummy dinner of Rib eye steaks, local carrots cooked in some butter and our own thyme and 'healthy' home made spicy refried beans. Unfortunately Will had to do some more work right around dinner time.. So needless to say this Memorial weekend had its ups and downs.

Wyatt is still snotty but seems to feel fine and is sleeping well. We skipped all of our mommy and baby activities on Tuesday as well as Wednesday. I rented movies to watch after Wyatt went to bed (Slumdog Millionaire and Bride Wars)- which were both really good and such a treat since we haven't seen any new flicks in some time.

Last night Will made goat cheese and prosciutto pizza and we had a great Napa valley Syrah. It really reminded me of our honeymoon which is where we first had goat cheese pizza. The weather was also wonderful at about 72 degrees and a nice breeze. As I sipped my wine on our front porch, I really felt like I was on vacation... Have to say- not a bad way to live :)

Today Wyatt and I are going to return our movies and head into Eugene to visit Target. Exciting huh?
