So yeah, it was over 70 degrees and sunny yesterday and today its raining! WTH? haha I'm not really upset by this (and actually like the rain a bit), but it does make planning your shoes for the day more difficult. This last week we've actually had some great weather, mixed in with rain so its been interesting, but I suppose that's what makes it so beautiful here.
I am sooo excited for summer though. We just made camping plans with Will's mom and Rene for a couple days at the beach just west of here, after Wyatt's birthday. We also just reserved our camp spot with 6 other couples and their toddlers at South Beach State Park in August. The Oregon coast should be awesome in August! Never before have I had so many great friends who like to get out and do stuff, like these ladies do. Wyatt and I have had so much fun with them and summer isn't even here yet. Last week a small group of us met at the OMSI in Portland and had lunch after. What a great museum! I can't wait to go back and take Will. There is a giant room just for toddlers but many many other interesting things too like dinosaurs, human development/biology of pregnancy etc. And Portland was really not too bad of a drive (Wy and I even managed to find Voodoo donuts-thanx GPS!). I would just make sure and take the DVD player for Wyatt next time (theres only so many songs I can sing before the poor kid freaks).
Today Wyatt and I met up with our weekly play group and had a blast- think art projects, storytime, outside play time and pizza! We also started gymnastics at OSU last week (and are doing a make up tonight). And wow did Wyatt LOVE his first day! He had a smile on his face most of the time and was great at the balance beam. On Saturday Will started soccer with Wyatt and although I heard he Wy a little bit of a handful, I'm sure with time, Wyatt and daddy will get situated :) I got to hit the gym all by myself so it was nice for me hehe. Afterwards, Will picked me up and we went to Fern Ridge lake and met up with Audra and family as they camped. We ate lunch out there and Wyatt played hard with the kids. After that we went to Toys R US and bought Wyatt a new outdoor picnic table and large outdoor Tonka truck. He loves them! Also, this weekend Wyatt started talking quite fluently. It is so nice that he is "using his words!" His favorite things to say are "Annie," "Mawkey" and "Unk." I told him this morning we were going to play with kids and he kept saying "Mawkey?" over and over and over... Can you guess who he adores? ;)
Okay I better run! ta ta!
