swim lesson
Today was Wyatt's first swim lesson. I had tried to get our lessons on Fridays but they were booked up. Anyways I'm really glad we ended up doing Saturday lessons because Will can participate and it was a lot of fun! After the lesson (which Wyatt seemed to be a bit hesitant about at times and other times smiley at his dad blowing bubbles), we hung out at the outdoor swim park. They have all kinds of cool kiddie slides and water spouty things etc etc. I relaxed and enjoyed the sun a bit while Will and Wyatt played. Here are a couple pictures of our day!

First steps!
Wyatt has been standing independently more often these last few days, however this afternoon he actually took 3 or 4 steps on his own and seems much more stable than before when standing on his own. He seemed very proud and even had to stop to clap for himself. The other funny thing he started doing initially with his cousin Mikey is a 'fake laugh game'.. he laughs, then when Mikey laughs back, he laughs more and on and on until they were both cracking up. Since Monday when he started playing this game with Mikey, he has been playing it with us too.
busy times
We've had a fun filled last couple weeks, so I am not sure where to start.. We went out to our favorite pizza place last night with my parents- one last get together before they left to go home this a.m.
Saturday we went to Eugene and did the Saturday market along with the Farmer's market. It was really busy and there were lots of interesting people, but lots of yummy bread, veggies and strawberries ;) Then we went and had fish and chips for lunch at a restaurant my parents found on their anniversary. We found out that Wyatt LOVES fish and couldn't get enough. We are going to have to order him his own meal next time :) Then we stopped and looked at pop-up trailers on the way home. There are a ton of RV dealers in Junction City so it was a convenient stop. We noticed one of the local feed stores was having an event so we stopped because they had a petting zoo set up. Wyatt wasn't overly interested in the animals and seemed to enjoy people watching instead.
Sunday was Father's Day and we celebrated by making homemade cinnamon rolls, going on a drive and then hike to the nearby Wild Animal preserve (which is about 5ooo acres of land) and eating a lamb dinner later on. Wyatt got his daddy a pocket knife, pizza paddle, metal measuring cups, and a kitchen scale. (Some things I knew we had both wanted hehe)...
I was finally able to read a book (and finish it). Everyone has been talking about the Twilight series so I checked the first one out at the library. Pretty good read :) Can't wait for the 2nd one to come in. Reading felt nice and was a good reminder that life is getting back to 'normal.'
Today I will continue doing some house cleaning... if I can drag myself away from our t.v (since we now have DVR, t.v. watching is so much more rewarding and effecient).
Oh and we start swim classes this Saturday.. funness! Will keep ya'll posted!

Little goofball
Our boy has been sleeping fabulously since getting home from camping. He took a 2.5 hour nap yesterday in the a.m. and then a 2 hour one in the afternoon. Then he slept in until 7:45 this morning! Ahhh this is the life. He has been very very silly lately, constantly squealing with excitement as he climbs all over us, and rolls all over the floor and his big stuffed bear. He loves being flipped around and around and always comes back for more. He has also been 'crab walking' but now he carries a stuffed animal in his mouth while he's getting around. It's pretty funny to watch but I wonder- should I be concerned? haha.
Today we went to story time (where he was determined to escape) and then to the park for a play date. Here is a pic I took of him at the park.

1st camping trip in Oregon
Tanya made cheesecake for my mom's b'day** Mikey and Will
Wyatt & Uncle Michael *** Wyatt feasting camping style
My parents eating dinner *** Will eating his infamous cookies
He crashed in the Ergo ***Audra and crew coming to fly kites with us
Will setting up his kite *** Tanya and Audra at camp
So although Wyatt and I were a bit sick with colds we decided to go ahead with plans and headed to the Oregon coast for a fun filled weekend. We camped at Harbor Vista campground which is in Florence about 1 mile from the beach. We woke up Saturday morning to some light rain however it cleared up midday and we were able to enjoy a afternoon flying kites and looking for shells on the beach. It was really nice having the grandparents and aunts/uncles around to help out with Wyatt. Also, it was a treat being able to hang out in everyone's trailers. I just caught Will online looking at tent trailers haha. Here are a few pictures from this weekend.

#3
Yesterday was our 3 year anniversary. It really seems surreal that 3 years has passed since our beautiful wedding at Bass Lake, but what a fabulous 3 years its been! My parents watched Wyatt for us and we went out to dinner at Big River Restaurant in Corvallis. I had lamb and Will had goat cheese pizza (all locally 'grown' food). After dinner we relaxed by the river (at the fountain) for awhile and then went to the movies. It was the first movie we've been to since Wyatt was born- and what a treat! We saw The Hangover and very much enjoyed it. Wyatt did fine with his grandparents so it would seem all parties had a nice evening.
Tomorrow we are heading out to the coast for a family camping trip (I think). Wyatt and I now have coughs- so unless they get worse, we're gonna go for it. Only our 2nd camping trip since he was born (the first one was when he was 6 weeks old). Hoping for nice weather!

watching Cash Cab and spacing out...
Just winding down from a nice, rather long day. This morning Wyatt and I met Grandma Pat, Audra and Mikey at the local story time. Grandma came home with Wyatt and I and had lunch with us. After, I dropped her back off at Audra's house and Wyatt and I went and met some friends for a play date at the park. After our play date we picked up the Lamb I bid on (and won) at an auction/benefit we went to this weekend. I stopped back off at Audra's house and hung out with the fam. until it was time to get home and make dinner. We had grilled salmon, green bean casserole and ranch style beans. It was fast and easy and hit the spot.
Tonight is Will's bath night (for Wyatt) hence why I'm able to blog. I think its going to be an early night for me, as I'm still not recuperated from being up all the night this weekend when Wyatt got his first fever (101). No fun! He didn't have any other symptoms but my throat has been a tad scratchy every since. Not sure if its the lack of sleep or what, but I'm sure hoping it goes away before our big camping trip this weekend...

It's June and its raining!
Us next to the Suislaw river
Heceta Beach & The Dunes in Florence
Our weather in Oregon has been really cool lately.. It got hot last week but then this week its been raining and 70 degrees. The last two nights we've had thunder and lightening so we have sat out on our deck and watched the show.
This last weekend we drove out to Florence (the coast) and it only took us 1 hour to get there. I haven't ever lived this close to the beach before and am so excited to live so close now. We took a walk out to the beach which was beautiful. Nice and clean and not too many people. Wyatt got to crawl around to his heart's content only trying out sand a couple times (although he did say "MMMM" when he did- crazy boy). Tasha enjoyed digging away and Bailey liked just laying next to Will the whole time. After our beach time we ate lunch and headed to the old town area and wandered around, checking out the little shops and Saturday market along the river. Fun day! We're excited to go back and camp there in a couple weeks.
Today is Tasha's 3 year birthday.. Happy Birthday Tash- your gonna get a nice dinner and walk tonight :)
My parents should be arriving tomorrow- hoping their trip is fast and uneventful as my poor dad's knee isn't healed up yet and driving 11 hours and towing their travel trailer is gonna be a bit tough I imagine.
So lets see... still no teeth for our boy. He drooled like crazy yesterday so who knows. He has been snuggling with his stuffed animals a lot lately (by snuggling I mean laying on top of them and mauling them). He still loves playing with balls- loves throwing them back and forth with us and also enjoys throwing them and chasing them around on the hard wood. (His poor knees!) Well I smell a stinky diaper so must run- ahh the joys of motherhood haha.. then its on to getting some coffee!!

Dont judge us too harshly :)
Wyatt has been saying "MMMM" when he really
likes certain foods lately. So I let him have a taste
of 'Will's cookies' and as you can see he likes em.
His little personality is really coming out..
